Job Description

Primecore is currently looking to recruit experienced Capital Project Managers for clients, to manage construction projects for scientific laboratories.


This role will be responsible for bringing the project from execution planning to delivery to the End User. The duration of these projects will be approximately 1 to 2 years. These project are based in the Greater Philadelphia area.


Role Responsibilities:

• Leadership of the core project team and chairing of weekly team meetings.

• Organization and leadership, with Program Lead and Client Procurement, of the bidding, evaluation, and award of key external contracts

• Attendance at Governance meetings, presenting project status

• Development and ongoing maintenance, with Program Controls, of the Budget, Schedule, and Risk Register for the project, ensuring alignment with the overall Program Budget and Schedule.

• Leadership of the project in line with the pre-approved Charter and Project Execution Plan including adherence to:

  • Procurement and Contracting strategy
  • Communications Plan
  • Approved Schedule (including use of Earned Value Measurement in Design and Construction)
  • Approved Budget

• Issue of monthly progress and cost reports (with Program Controls) and attendance at monthly cost review meetings.

• Interface with Procurement to ensure project is executed in line with the approved procurement strategy document and Level III schedule.

• Attendance at weekly program coordination meetings presenting on status, schedule, risks and lookaheads for the specific project scope.

• Organization of appropriate project documentation co-ordination.

• Leadership and resolution of issues that arise during project execution.

• Working with client technical leads and design team leads to resolve technical issues which arise during construction.

• Holding of Project team members to account in terms of their individual roles, responsibilities, and commitments.

• Scheduling and facilitation of End User engagement with the Project

• Management of communication interfaces between the Project and other Program work streams.

• Systematic closeout of project commercial and technical activities.
