Harvest Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Harvest Technician is responsible for the harvesting and trimming activities in the cultivation operation. This person works with members of cultivation and thrive in a team environment and plays an integral role in the company's cultivation operation.

• Assists in monitoring dry room environmental conditions to ensure proper drying
• Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
• Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain a neat SAFE and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes
• De-Fan cannabis plants during proper stages to ensure an efficient harvest.
• Maintains separation of different strains, chain of custody records, seed to sale records & compliance protocols.
• Performs physical harvest of mature flower in scheduled rooms while adhering to production requirements.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in extreme weather.
• May require use of respirator in the workplace to protect against exposure to occupational dusts, fumes, mists, gases, and vapors; medical clearance and fit testing may be required before use of respirator.
• Hand and eye coordination.
• Ability to perform the following physical tasks on a daily basis: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, squatting, performing repetitive motions, climbing and carrying boxes or trays
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be able to pass a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Level 2 Background Screening
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to wear personal protective gear during portions of the day.
• Must be able to work in a cultivation environment with varying temperatures, humidity, exposure to plant life and moderate to loud noise levels
• Ability to be in constant standing/moving position.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.

Skills / Knowledge REQUIRED

• Computer, mathematic, language, and reasoning skills
• Adhere to all policy and regulations set forth by the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Must adhere to scheduled work hours (punctuality and attendance)

Skills / Knowledge PREFERRED

• Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as organic plant treatment options
• Degree in Biology, Horticulture, or Applied Science
• Experience in cannabis cultivation or knowledge and familiarity with Cannabis
• Ability to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a large-scale grow facility
• Knowledge of container systems with soil and hydro, as well as an understanding of temperature and humidity manipulation
