Job Overview
Mercedes-Benz USA’s, storytellers, Marketing and Communications, sets the brand tone. A creative force of experts tell MBUSA’s stories of innovation and sport through advertising, brand strategy, digital engagement and product presentation. Using channels ranging from dealerships to social media, the Brand Communications team connects the luxury and technology of MB to dealers, consumers, and customers around the globe.
CAMPAIGN SUPERVISOR: This role is responsible for planning, producing, and distributing marketing and advertising materials to promote key vehicle and brand initiatives for Mercedes-Benz USA across many ranges of vehicles – Electric portfolio, AMG, Maybach, G Glass, and more. This role also holds responsibility for tracking and reporting back to the broader organization the performance of campaigns. These tasks are completed through key agency partners spanning strategy, segmentation, creative, production, media, and reporting. This role also serves as the campaign expert for the US market on global integration/campaign calls and projects.
These campaigns support MBUSA key marketing messages in full-funnel 360 marketing initiatives – broadcast, streaming, social, CRM, print, point-of-sale, and .com properties.
The Campaign Supervisor will report into the Head of Brand Communications at MBUSA.
Responsibilities
  • Maintains campaign roadshows to establish a library of up-to-date resources for cross-departmental internal stakeholders
  • Manages the creative development, production, and execution of all MBUSA corporate, brand, and performance marketing campaigns. This includes new vehicle launches, sustaining/facelift support, and brand initiatives in partnership with lead agency.
  • Oversees entire advertising communications ecosystem across television commercials, video brochures, branded entertainment, long lead, print, digital display, etc.
  • Owner of campaigns for key sponsorship relationships and partnerships
  • Consults with MBUSA Legal, Engineering Services, and Product Management to ensure all communications are brand commensurate, product accurate, and regulatory compliant. Oversee copy and image revisions to comply with any feedback
  • Collaborates with both traditional advertising agency and digital advertising agency to align communications development
  • Fosters a deeper understanding of the campaign ecosystem as it continues to evolve, monitoring competitive activity and offering innovation to MBUSA campaigns based on performance, efficiency, and quality of creative
  • Develops campaign calendars for use by both agency and internal partners. Plan must consider budget constraints and be prioritized accordingly.
  • Monthly alignment with MBUSA sales operations team on vehicle offers considering inventory levels and regional need variances
  • Works closely with global Daimler marketing colleagues on global campaign development process. Provide input related to US market-specific needs and determine any asset adaptations to suit local market needs.
  • Support internal video production projects – both consultative for look and feel, script and also for on-camera talent as needed
  • Works to integrate with Social, Media, Digital, After-Sales and Brand Experience Marketing teams as well as key internal teams such as PR to ensure campaigns are comprehensive, unified, and most effective
Qualifications
Qualifications/ Education
Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in:
  • Communications
  • Should have prior direct marketing experience either on Client or Agency side
  • Marketing
Must have at least 5 years (total) of experience in the following:
  • Business: General Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.
  • Market Research: General Knowledge of market research sources, data analysis techniques and methodology from various research tools.
  • Advertising - Planning and Production: General Knowledge of advertising briefing and concept development process, production process, various forms of print and broadcast media, and tools for measurement of effectiveness.
