Cad Designer - Store Design - Remote Eligible

Overview:

As Real Estate Designer, you're pawsitively passionate about new store design and all the details. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your workday, you develop concept store plans and drawings along with architectural details and coordination for corporate and franchise sites. This position is located in our Livonia, MI headquarters and offers a hybrid work enviornment, working in office Monday - Wednesday and remotely Thursday - Friday.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

Real Estate Designer key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with internal and external resources throughout store design process to meet deadlines.
• Preparing effective space planning for store layouts.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Managing store layout process coordination across Pet Supplies Plus teams.
• Maintaining digital library to hold current asset and merchandising blocks.
• Managing tracking and coordination of layout approval process and communication within organization and franchise owners.
• Site specific adaptation of design standard.
• Coordinating and communicating internal plan review meetings with operations and merchandising.
• Interpreting store design standards.
• Determining existing space conditions and communicating revisions, corrections and reviews with external architects.

The PAWsome Real Estate Designer will have:

• Solid project management skills including timing and action planning, management against key milestones and scope creep.
• A degree or certification in related field, preferred.
• Ability to embrace change and effectively adjusts to new or altered processes within the business environment.
• 2-4 years' experience in design and drafting, preferably in retail.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes.
• Understanding of retail construction process including schematics, blueprints and technical material.
• Demonstrated strong detail-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze large amounts of information to drive actionable and relevant insights.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and trouble shoot to deliver results
• Strong design skills to include visual communication and sketching.
• Familiarity with design and construction processes.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills enabling presentation of complex ideas in a clear manner.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
