The client is a rapidly growing Technology company in Central New Jersey who has major initiatives underway with long term strategic partners. They are looking for a motivated individual to join their innovative collaborative Scrum team delivering high performance software developed in C on Linux.

If you have experience writing software that manipulates data at the byte and bit level as well as with Multithreaded Development and Parallel Computing, this is the perfect software opportunity for you!

Please note this is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at the client’s Central NJ office.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Design algorithms and data structures
• Develop high performance applications written in C on Linux
• Participate in the definition of new product features
• Engage in the full development lifecycle from design through supporting QA testing
• Work as part of a collaborative Scrum team

Position requirements:

• Bash scripting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of embedded systems is a plus
• Hands on Python scripting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; Masters degree is a plus
• Strong C development skills on Linux
• Extensive algorithm design experience
• Experience with low level (bit/byte) data manipulation
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Hybrid position - work onsite 2 days per week at client’s Central NJ office
• Expertise with data structure design
• Experience with Multithreaded Development and Parallel Computing
