Job Summary

As a key member of the purchasing team, this position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager to follow up on outstanding receipts of purchase orders, expedite purchase orders changes, and complete special projects related to purchasing and inventory control.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for the follow up of PO receipt, expedition of orders and coordination of sourcing with vendors
• Communicates to appropriate personnel delivery times and updates through the computerized Birst system
• Verify and update part number descriptions, coordinate part drawing within the parts management system
• Update purchase order information ie: cost, quantity and delivery date
• Work with manufacturing on quality issues and coordinate resolution with vendors
• Coordinate weekly reports and calls with vendors on supplies for on time delivery

Education/Experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate data and information
• Proficiency in working within computerized manufacturing systems, spreadsheets, and scheduling programs such as Microsoft Project
• Ability to communicate and work well with all manufacturing divisions
• Ability to multi-task while being able to manage details
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
• Ability to function within a fast-paced environment
• Customer focus
