Buyer Jobs

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with suppliers and to develop multiple sourcing of quality cost efficient materials on the chemical and/or packaging side of the business.
• Purchase/order materials such as chemicals, tankers, fragrances, miscellaneous packaging, etc. in a timely and cost-efficient manner to facilitate on-time delivery of orders and complete all associated documentation.
• Create and update spec sheets and drawings as well as work closely with QA to trouble shoot and correct quality defects.
• Prepare and receive bids and make purchases within defined guidelines.
• Work with both the manufacturing and production department on out of stock items while maintaining safety stock levels to prevent outages

Qualifications & Requirements:

• This position requires strong analytical and good MS Office skills to monitor inventory levels and analyze historical data so that sound purchasing decisions are made and stock outs are avoided.
• At least 5+ years' buyer experience, production buying experience is highly preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred but not required.
• Meticulous attention to detail
