Job Description
Overview:
Foot Locker is seeking an experienced Buyer, Global Supplies to join our growing Global Supplies team. In this role, you will be responsible for procurement and vendor management of packaging (e.g., corrugated boxes, mailers, labels) and maintenance & repair (“MRO”) supplies and materials. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that our procurement processes are efficient and effective. You will also be responsible for further adoption and continuous improvement of our P2P (“Procure to Pay”) system SAP Ariba. The role reports to our Director, Global Supplies and is part of the larger Foot Locker Global Procurement Center of Excellence. The internal title for this position will be "Manager, Global Supplies - Packaging & MRO".

This role can either be filled as a hybrid position at one of our Corporate Offices (New York, NY - St. Petersburg, FL - Camp Hill, PA) or be remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems, including SAP Ariba
  • Analyze stock levels, open orders, inventory fluctuation, and late deliveries to ensure positive inventory on critical items
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for Global packaging and MRO categories
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, and negotiate contracts that provide the best value for the company
  • Develop analytical reporting and dynamic usage analysis
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action when necessary
  • Manage the communication of inventory issues with warehouse operations
  • Monitor demand and analyze data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver cost savings initiatives and process improvements
  • Review inventory levels held at supplier and ensure alignment with forecasted demand
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, ideally with the recent experience in supplies procurement for a retail company
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts that provide the best value for the company
  • Experience operating in a best-in-class procurement P2P system (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Scout/Workday)
  • Must have a continuous improvement approach
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
  • Must be self-motivated and resourceful
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Willing to work with processes and systems that are evolving and subject to change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal supervision

Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $75000 - $95000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
