Business Valuation Analyst Jobs

This position will play a critical role in delivering valuation services for clients. The Valuation Analyst will oversee all phases of and perform all aspects of valuation engagements for tax and estate purposes, corporate governance, and other similar purposes. Depending on candidate’s skills and preferences, may also work on valuations for litigation and other consulting assignments.

Responsibilities

 Preparing valuation, economic, and other analyses to support engagements. This work may include directing and overseeing analysts and staff and reviewing their work.

 Communicating with clients and their professional advisors throughout the engagement under the direction of a senior member of the BVI team. This communication will be through written reports and presentations.

 Maintain high levels of service for existing clients to ensure continued strong relationships.

Required Skills

 Extensive knowledge of economics, accounting, or valuation theory

 Ability to communicate with business owners and professional advisors to ensure delivery of exceptional client service

 Ability to develop business or ability to learn to develop business

 Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects

Credentials

 Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance (Master’s Degree preferred).

 Minimum five years of experience with valuating privately held businesses for litigation purposes such as matrimonial, estate, or the like.

 Professional designations a huge plus, such as: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or other similar designations.

 Small firm experience a plus.
