The Business Manager acts as Contracts, Human Resources, and Financial Manager for Overall Administration of functions that fall under those key areas.
- Manage the recruiting, evaluation, discipline, and annual benefits process for all employees
- Ensure proper preparation for annual financial audit.
- Supervise the Programs Contract, Subcontract, and Procurement efforts
- Oversee the Program’s Human Resources functions
- Ensure complete and up-to-date operating procedures for all accounting and financial controls.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and ensures their accuracy and timeliness.
- Documentation is accurate and in order.
- Assist in preparing special cost studies as required.
- Assist in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
- Ensure compliance with any and all financial and contract reporting requirements for private or public funding, licensing, or regulatory agencies.
- Ensure all Human Resource reporting and compliance with Human Resources laws and regulations are followed
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections.
- Review all receipts and disbursements, ascertains correct account distribution, and ensure all support
- Oversee Program property control and management
- Other duties as assigned
- Main Program interface with the US Government’s Contracting Officer
- May serve as the Program’s Source Selection Authority (SSA).
- Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
- Ensure that competition rules are followed and proprietary data is maintained and safeguarded
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience preferably in a government arena.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance
- Possess a valid State Driver’s License.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently with good decision-making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Understand US Government CAS and GAAP rules.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Accounting Software products (i.e., Word, Excel, DELTEK).
- Knowledge of the FAR and DFAR
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and customers.
