Business Intelligence Report Developer - Remote Us

We’re looking for an amazing Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for playing a crucial role in transforming complex data into reports supporting our core clients. Your expertise will enable our organization to obtain timely operational information, make data-driven decisions, and gain valuable insights. You’ll spend most of your time in hands-on, task-oriented, report development referencing report requirements documentation. This position meets frequently with business owners to discuss needs and effectively communicate technical solutions at a business level.

Responsibilities

• Partner in requirements gathering from non-technical business personnel.
• Possess high-level subject matter expertise for data modelling, data sourcing, data quality, and BI delivery solutions.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and effective reports.
• Approach challenges with a can-do spirit, analytical mind, and problem-solving skills.
• Work to improve the BI development lifecycle.
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain BI solutions (ad-hoc reports, scorecards, dashboards, automated reports, and more) using a variety of reporting platforms, including PowerBI (with DAX), SQL, and Excel.

Requirements

• Expertise in the design, development, and formatting of tabular reports, charts, graphs, and dashboards with drilldown capability.
• Experience with version control
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being pro-active in keeping their management informed of project related issues
• Experience with data governance
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with SQL, PowerBI, and Excel.
• Detail-oriented thinker exhibiting strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with supporting testing phases with users
• Minimum 3-5 years Business Analysis experience
• Tableau and SSRS experience are a nice to haves, but not required. Experience with Power Apps and SharePoint integrations is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with iterative development and Agile Scrum practices
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
• Expert-level knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling, DAX formulas, and custom visualizations

• Base Salary Range: $ 78,200.00 to 105,600.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
