Business Immigration Paralegal - Northbrook, Il - Hiring Now

Seeking an experienced and motivated Business Immigration Paralegal to join our boutique law firm. As a Business Immigration Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in managing a diverse portfolio of corporate immigration cases. You will be responsible for conducting research, preparing legal documents, and assisting with case management to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of immigration matters.

Location: Northbrook, IL. (In-Office)

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients to collect necessary information, provide case updates, and address any concerns or questions.
• Coordinate and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation and timely submission to government agencies.
• Stay up to date with changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and provide relevant guidance to clients and colleagues.
• Conduct extensive legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Prepare and review complex legal documents, such as visa petitions, responses to requests for evidence (RFEs), and compliance filings.
• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing various nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 petitions.

Qualifications:

• Strong research skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues.
• Proficient knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Familiarity with various nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a business immigration paralegal in a law firm or corporate immigration practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in immigration case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
