We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, flexible, and reliable individual with experience in the Event Management and Business Development industry who will utilize their network contacts and develop new network contacts to secure new business. Our ideal candidate will be extremely self-motivated, driven, committed, and a dedicated team player. To excel in this role, you’ll need to be a self-starter who is ready to learn the industry and perform well.
Successful candidates will have the following:
• 1 year or more experience in the event management industry in either a sales, business development, or account management/operations capacity
• Strong knowledge of all components of both live and virtual meetings. This includes registration platforms, logistics management, production, creative, travel, and gifting.
• Proven track record for converting existing relationships into clients, account growth
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, Word, Excel, and Cvent
• Knowledge of business-to-business sales and Business-to-customer sales, including prospecting, business development, and account management
• Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and contracting hotels and other venues for programs with up to ~100 attendees
• Strong knowledge of virtual meeting components
• Demonstrated ability to sell using a variety of approaches and delivery platforms
• Event planning and relationship building
• Ability to travel - 5-10%
Communication Skills:
• Excellent presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations involving clients and associates
• Exceptional communication skills including written, interpersonal, and public speaking
Leadership Skills:
• Self-motivated with solid time management skills and demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve priorities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; must function well under pressure, delegate effectively, and remain positive and constructive under stress
• Highly organized with the ability to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Analytical Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience with CRM platform reporting and sales pipeline reporting
• Ability to gather client information and analyze industry data to create client-specific action plans and communications
What you would be doing at Taazaa:
• Generate business using a consultative selling approach to build new client relationships
• Lead with a value-driving message and proposition that highlights our ability to generate award-winning work around events and experiential marketing
• Leverage sound business acquisition and retention strategies to cultivate both new and existing business relationships
• Learn, understand, and display a clear understanding of our product CookinGenie.
• Identify and develop new business through personal sales efforts targeted to prospective accounts
• Maintain accurate documentation of all account contact and sales activities
• Call on key decision-makers and close opportunities
• Venue sourcing and site visit management
• Lead storytelling about us to new and existing clients
• Develop positive relationships with all departments and support client business with project research and sourcing
• Job may require some evening time attending industry functions such as hotel presentations, tradeshows, industry events, etc.
