Wildlife Works’ conservation projects drive direct financing to forest communities to fund their own economic development while preventing millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere annually.

Position Summary

The Global Business Development Associate will work with an international global team in different time zones to find, research, assess and document new conservation projects that directly support communities invested in protecting their ecosystems. This is an Independent Contractor position with a projected end date of December 15, 2023.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist regional management on deadline, in the preparation of project analysis
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Directly assist Global Project Sourcing Director and Regional Directors with the establishment of a pipeline of prospective REDD+ and conservation projects to meet the company’s mission as an environmental leader
• Research new projects and enabling conditions for conservation in multiple countries
• Conduct and oversee pre-feasibility assessments of new projects
• Conduct, coordinate or assist with the production of feasibility studies, supporting international teams to produce key project development documents and track multiple projects

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Ability to travel internationally, if needed
• Candidates should be located in CA, NC, VT
• Experience in working on project management, global tracking and reporting on projects
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
• Spanish, French, Indonesian, or other languages are a plus
• Experience with excel, google sheets and multiple reporting/tracking methodologies
• Demonstrated high level communications and writing ability, reporting and partnership building
