Ready to take ACTION in your career? ACT1 Federal is seeking a Business Development professional for the Air and Space Force line of business in Crystal City, VA!
- Providing input to Business Unit plans and artifacts
- Performing market and economic analyses
- Helping to develop capture and win strategies including business solution for pursuit
- Designing and executing formal capture plans
- Leading development of customer profiles—including customer needs, issues, hopes, and biases
- Soliciting and gleaning advanced knowledge of pending needs, current systems, future requirements, and organizations to position ACT1 for pursuit of new contracts and customers
- Monitoring competitor activity
- Identifying resources required to pursue a bid, and guiding bid and proposal activities
- Preparing pipeline plans and preparing and leading Gate Reviews
- Regularly interacting with all levels of management, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers
- Executing customer call plans to qualify and assess the “win-ability” of new opportunities, and to shape acquisitions
- Experience interfacing and coordinating effectively with military and government officials, technical and business subject matter experts, contractors, subcontractors, and community leaders
- Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers / partners
- An understanding of sales and business development methodology, requirements development, and an aptitude for milestone-based capture process
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus, proactive, superior attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills. Business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, reliability, and sound judgment
- Experience as a Business Development lead with one or more of the following, Army, Air & Space, DHS, etc
- A bachelor’s degree
- Deep understanding of pricing, baseline pricing strategies, and the evolution of pricing strategies into business strategies that are competitive and compelling for the customer
- Strong organizational skills, a high level of initiative and moderate knowledge with MS Office Products required
