Job Title: Business Analyst - Knowledge Management (Contract) - Job#4566


Location: Chicago, IL


I. WORK TO BE PERFORMED:

Knowledge Transfer and Management Strategy

  • Supports the execution of a comprehensive knowledge transfer strategy to ensure knowledge sharing and proficiency from third party resources to internal CLIENT staff.
  • Champions the value and benefits of knowledge transfer and knowledge management initiatives to gain buy-in and support from all levels of the organization.
  • Identifies critical knowledge gaps; partners with Learning & Development to develop initiatives to bridge those gaps through training, mentoring, and other knowledge transfer methods.
  • Leads the monitoring and reporting activities related to knowledge transfer activities.
  • Optimizes the knowledge transfer approach and associated practices and coordination to identify, capture, and transfer critical knowledge.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development

  • Collaborates with product owners, technical leads and SMEs to identify key knowledge components, and document them effectively.
  • Establishes process flows and templates for capturing knowledge, process documentation and establishes standardized procedures to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Partners with hiring managers and knowledge recipients to catalog where information is being stored and can be retrieved.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Fosters a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Develop tailored materials and reports to communicate concepts, analysis results, and recommendations to a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Interacts and effectively communicates with all levels of leadership to capture, document, and transition structured and tribal knowledge from third party resources to identified knowledge recipients.
  • Assists with other activities and duties as assigned.
  • Partners with Organizational Change Management team to drive the necessary behaviors to build and maintain knowledge transfer.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on operational procedure and processes, working cross-departmentally to inform decision making in many areas.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to proactively recommend improvements.
  • Liaise with Knowledge Management team to share the inputs and learnings from knowledge transfer to establish the framework for knowledge at CLIENT.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, optimize efforts and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

II. SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, or a related field
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong background in developing and documenting standard operating procedures
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in implementing and managing knowledge management systems within complex organizations

V. COMPLETION CRITERIA:

  • Defined and operationalized Knowledge Management framework
  • Repeatable Knowledge Transfer process is defined, implemented, monitored and measured
  • Knowledge transfer completed from in-scope, third party resources to identified CLIENT staff
