About the role:


We are seeking a self-motivated, action-oriented Business Analyst striving for success in a competitive and fun environment. This entry-level role will be working closely with the Product and Engineering departments to help set up processes and administrate tools, assist with training teams on processes and best practices, support Product Owner activities requirements elicitation for user story development, and help manage the Agile metrics suite. Zego is a growing company with a dynamic and fun work environment. What you’ll do here:

  • Understand relevant Agile metrics, how to interpret/analyze data and activities/decisions that impact them.
  • Creates and maintains supporting product design documentation as necessary, including diagrams (user workflows, DFDs, process swim lanes, etc.), collaboration boards, and implementation plans.
  • Learn and understand the Agile development process & frameworks used at Zego.
  • Influences a positive, united team culture to achieve success within the Product and Engineering team.
  • Assist with preparing training materials and facilitate departmental training sessions.
  • Assist with metric definition, data collection, tracking and report generation using EazyBI and Agile project management tool (JIRA).
  • Assist Product Owners with crafting user stories to ensure they are ready for development, including clear business value and acceptance criteria.
  • Actively participates in all Agile ceremonies (Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, etc.).
  • Assist with analyzing efficiency and shortcoming of existing tools and researching new tools in the market.
  • Coordinate assigned projects/tasks according to outlined scope and timeline.
  • Assist with documenting business processes, operational workflows, and system functionality.
  • Effectively collaborate with multiple engineering and product teams and other functional teams as needed.
  • Analyzes and validates functional and nonfunctional requirements for Product value.
  • Assist Product and Engineering in getting feedback by running surveys to gather data on process improvements, training needs, tool efficiency etc.
  • Continually learns and deepens knowledge of our system, product features, and user experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with implementing and driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with tool management and maintenance like administering Jira, Confluence, Miró and project management/tracking tools, help troubleshoot any issues reported.

About you:

  • Process driven with an eagerness to learn and build proficiency in the following practices, tools and technologies: Agile approach, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, EazyBI, Miro, Lucidchart.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple teams and departments.
  • Ability to identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making, escalating risks when necessary.
  • Interest in facilitating training and leading meetings with large groups within Product Development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A creative problem solver with the ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret data points to make decisions.
  • BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or a related field (project management, business, or process-based studies preferred), or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Sense of urgency with the drive to deliver effective and efficient work in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Some understanding of or familiarity with Agile frameworks.
  • Some understanding of or familiarity with the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with any data query language.
  • Experience participating in and/or conducting Agile/generic training or workshops.
  • Familiarity with Google or Microsoft suite of tools (Sheets, Docs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, etc.), EazyBI, GitHub, Miro, or Lucidchart.

In one month you’ll:

  • Participates in new hires training and bootcamp sessions.
  • Gain familiarity with all the Atlassian tools and other tools used by the teams.
  • Step through our formal New Hire Onboarding process.
  • Learn agile frameworks used at Zego.
  • Participates in Agile ceremonies and learn the Agile development process diligently.

In three months you’ll:

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from design meetings.
  • Assist with Tool management (Atlassian, Miro, Lucid, and EazyBI) providing administrative support as needed.
  • Scheduling & preparing necessary presentation materials for trainings & bootcamps.
  • Gather, consolidate and analyze feedback from teams on process efficiency.

In six months you’ll:

  • Support squads in driving process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with facilitating new hire onboarding, training and coordinating engineering and product bootcamps.
  • Work with squads to develop squad best practices and new processes.
  • Develop a good understanding of how Zego’s Agile shop works and operates.
  • Create data visualizations using eazyBI or other tools and analyze Agile Metrics to make data driven decisions.
  • Coordination and follow-up of the Product & Engineering Process Improvement (PEPI) board’s tasks and actions.
  • Monitor shortcomings in end to end process adoption and partner with process leads to take appropriate action
  • Measure agile team’s maturity and process effectiveness and help leadership make data driven decisions.
  • Propose innovative ideas to continuously improve what we do day in day out.
  • Collaborate with agile leaders on new tool POC, implementation and maintenance.
