Business Analyst Jobs

In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business owners, subject matter experts, and end users, to gather and document business rules, requirements, and processes for projects and other initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work on both technical and non-technical projects, analyzing process improvements as identified by business leaders. Additionally, you may support the QA Test Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing based on project scope.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days a week in their Sacramento, CA office and 2 days a week remote. Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio proficiently to support analysis and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business rules, requirements, and processes for projects and other initiatives.
• Willingness to learn various business systems as needed to support requirements documentation and testing.
• Write comprehensive requirement documents that serve as a foundation for system design.
• Possess a firm understanding of system architecture to design features and identify dependencies.
• Apply knowledge of software development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, to project work.
• Familiarity with software requirements and test case repositories is advantageous.
• Take abstract goals or scope and work towards defining a well-defined scope with a clear analysis plan.
• Work both independently and in a collaborative team environment, coordinating with business and technical team members.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to interpret business needs and translate them into process and requirement specifications.
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, finance, or equivalent related work experience.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Experience in writing comprehensive requirement documents.
• Experience in analyzing business processes and workflows is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience documenting requirements for internal business systems or customer-facing websites and applications.
• ERP experience a plus.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
