Job Description

  • Attends in-service meetings and training courses as assigned
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with school staff and parents concerning student background, medical problems, and behavior as appropriate
  • Consults with and assists bus driver in documentation of student information and record keeping
  • Maintains current knowledge of Emergency Evacuation procedures
  • Assists with loading and unloading of students, as well as seating and safety belting students
  • Maintains proper records and documentation and communicates effectively both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
  • Assists the bus driver in maintaining discipline on the school bus; monitors and assists student while bus is in operation
