Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Administrative, supervisory and inspection work in connection with the enforcement and interpretation of the building code and the zoning bylaw; all other related work as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs varied and responsible duties requiring considerable judgement in making technical decisions and in enforcing regulations.
  • Makes frequent contacts with the general public, other Town departments and professionals.
  • Works under the policy direction of the Town Manager. Enforces bylaws of the Town, Massachusetts building codes, and the provisions of the General Laws of the Commonwealth.
