Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College invites applications for an annual appointment (full-time, 10-month, lecturer position) in British Literature to begin August 1, 2023. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate British literature and writing courses to support the English major as well as general studies writing and literature courses. Teaching assignments will be primarily on campus but duties will include designing and sometimes teaching classes in the online format. Other responsibilities include mentoring undergraduates, participating in course and program assessment, and general service to the Department and the College. A strong commitment to the mission of the college is expected, as well as service to college and community and excellent student and program support (participate in department functions, evaluate student competencies, create internship agreements, track student progress).

Requirements:
Master’s or doctorate in English or related area and evidence of effective college-level teaching. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated experience in college level teaching, instructional technologies, online instruction, and curriculum development.
