Position Summary:

Manage and approve internal and external brand identity activities to create a consistent brand image. Manage packaging projects and related activities for the diverse packaging needs and interests of marketing, project management, manufacturing, and purchasing. Conceptualize, design, and execute attention-grabbing packaging leveraging the internal marketing asset database for product data and images. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams including external agencies, packaging engineers, purchasing, product managers and graphic designers to coordinate the required activities, as well as direct the distribution of all program materials.



KEY TASKS:

  • Track and analyze the performance of branding and packaging efforts, making data-driven decisions to improve strategies and achieve business goals.
  • Evaluates consumer and market trends and product details to conceptualize effective packaging designs.
  • Manage and evaluate strategic supplier relationships to ensure methods, procedures, and technologies to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality and service levels.
  • Execute other marketing related projects as required.
  • Manage and approve brand identity activities from product development to marketing for all product groups and Licensed Product to maintain a consistent brand image.
  • Lead the design process for packaging materials to create packaging that is functional and appealing to customers.
  • Collaborates with marketing, packaging engineers, product management and safety groups while accessing industry standards and requirements and implementing them effectively into the packaging.
  • Manage and approve all packaging design activities for Snap-on and Blue-Point under a variety of conditions for all product groups to maintain a consistent brand image.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of various packaging designs, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, PC & Mac Operating Systems Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Acrobat.
  • Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind.
  • Experience in a broad range of functions including engineering design, graphic design, marketing, distribution, purchasing and sales.
  • Solid understanding of brand identity, market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design or related field and 5-7 years of experience in packaging or project management. A master’s degree a plus.
