Job Description
Description Tropical Foods has sales and distribution offices in Orlando, Atlanta, Washington DC, Nevada, Dallas and Charlotte, NC. Our SQF, Kosher and organic production facility in Charlotte roasts nuts & seeds daily and blends over 60 bulk snack mixes. These facilities also package and re-box many of our items to meet our customers’ varied needs. Charlotte is our corporate headquarters, and is home to purchasing, accounting, and sales & marketing offices. ******$250.00 Sign on Bonus after 90 days in good standing********** The Marketing Design Coordinator works to execute tactical marketing initiatives, both online and in print, as it relates to the organization’s products and services. **This position is not remote
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares internal and external mailings.
  • Designs product packaging and maintains edits.
  • Assists with planning and implementing meetings and presentations, including annual national sales & marketing conference.
  • Acts as a role model within and outside the company.
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform duties of position.
  • Manages marketing sample process, media samples, and vendor requests.
  • Works with marketing team and outside agencies to create a consistent marketing design presence through all marketing channels.
  • This job works under general instruction and is expected to accomplish work assignments with a limited amount of supervision.
  • Adheres to company Policy and Procedures.
  • Performs administrative work as assigned.
  • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Performs duties as workload necessitates.
  • Develops and maintains "always on" online product catalog.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Works closely with BDG sales teams on key account design needs.
  • Implements creative strategies for email and social marketing while maintaining the brand’s voice, tone, and brand guidelines.
  • Designs bulk N&I labels and maintains database.
  • Builds the continued organization of marketing assets.
  • Stays current with marketing design trends and recommends new marketing initiatives.
  • Meets department productivity standards.
  • Proofreads and edits content written by other staff and/or outside agencies.
  • Maintains customer diversity platforms.
  • Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Handles product photography and editing for social, web and image management.
  • Develops content for advertising, training materials and marketing pieces.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Creative Suite.   • Manages design aspects of supplier marketing program.
  • Maintains and updates brand marketing calendars and timelines.
  • Assists in executing comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read and understand English.
  • Develops and maintains sales enablement materials.
  • Develops creative assets for quarterly seasonal campaigns and monthly product features.
  • Develops and produces promotional marketing materials.
  • The employee may be required to travel up to 5% of the time. Scope of Responsibility
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent; or combination of education, training, and experience which provides requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job successfully. Travel Required
