The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining smooth, efficient and quality operation of the shop while overseeing technicians and sales associates in the absence of the Manger and by handling any problems arising.

Boss Truck Shop offers on-demand pay (access to earned but not yet paid wages) through


  • Understands Boss Shop warranty procedures.
  • Understands FleetCross/Motor for labor times.
  • Assigns work to all technicians within the guidelines of Bosselman.
  • Maintains organizational control of work in progress and work waiting to be complete.
  • Trains Shop Technicians to company standards and evaluate performance.
  • Ensures all shop personnel are professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Evaluates and documents any return job problems and be able to remedy the problem and communicate this to upper management.
  • Handles all problems that cannot be handled at a lower level (customer, personnel, mechanical).
  • Addresses deficiencies in the shop operations professionally and provides constructive feedback and remedial training to resolve the issues.
  • Works the floor as Technician or Sales Associate when needed.
  • Performs service calls and night call outs.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Assists with inventory and other front office duties when directed by management.
  • Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Maintains updated and accessible procedure manuals for technicians.
  • Identifies work required and writes detailed description of work required.
  • Ensures service equipment is in good working condition and well maintained.
  • Stays current on all LMS training.
  • Accurately performs all functions of MaddenCo.
  • Ensures cleanliness of the shop, inside and out, and maintains stock levels
  • Reviews daily tickets to insure correct charges and proper notes.
  • Identifies and prevents possible warranty situations through consultation of Senior Management and documentation on repair orders.
  • Provides daily direction for technicians and sales associates for the shift assigned.
  • Ensures replacement parts are available for needed repairs.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Works alongside employees in both the shop and sales floor performing at least 20 hours of billable shop labor per week.
  • Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration.
  • Enforces and practices all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Directly supervises 3 or more employees in the absence of management.


Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed)


  • Must have a minimum of one year of experience with Boss Shops.
  • Prior supervisory experience required or referral of management in lieu of experience.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-Year College or technical school; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Current valid driver's license and be insurable to drive.
  • Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA and other certifications.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE
  • Able to furnish own tools to perform work.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
  • Basic understanding of computer operations.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must have reliable transportation and phone.
  • Basic typing skills.
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
