Job Description
Summary

Work with CEC Principal and FBS Director of Operations to generate annual operating budget
Provide necessary support documents to Financial Committee as requested
Insure spending is in line with the approved budget

Duties

FBS CEC Bookkeeper


10 hours/week; Days in office vary
Remote work available
Reports to the CEC Principal

Qualifications:

Minimum High School Diploma
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Prior relevant bookkeeping experience preferred
Must have an eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines

Job Responsibilities
General:
Research and repair billing issues
Month and Year end closings
Annual Database promotion
Tax Statements

Invoicing:
Invoice weekly and monthly tuition charges
Invoice drop-in fees for single day care
Invoice non-tuition fees: Key FOBs, Registration, Book Fees, Field Trip Fees

Accounts Receivable:
Auto Drafts - set up families, update financial information, change amounts for vacation weeks/rate changes, maintain monthly batching schedule, and run batches through UCBI; manually enter each individual transaction into Headmaster
Checks - manually enter each check transaction into Headmaster; Deposit via check reader each Tuesday and Friday
Online - batch transactions into Headmaster daily
Cash - manually enter each cash transaction into Headmaster; deposit cash at least twice monthly at UCBI
Payroll deductions - manually enter transactions into Headmaster bi-weekly
Credit Memos - apply half price weeks for vacations; goodwill credits
Scholarships - maintain and apply credits for CEC Board approved scholarships

Accounts Payable:
Collect, gather receipts and generate check request forms weekly for all invoices
Enter invoices into ACS Financial Suite
Writer, meter and mail checks weekly
Reconcile bank statements monthly
Maintain records for auditing purposes

Budget:
Work with CEC Director and FBS Director of Operations to generate annual operating budget
Provide necessary support documents to Financial Committee as requested
Insure spending is in line with the approved budget
