Job Description

Bookkeeping/Accounting Independent Contractor Proficient with Quickbooks and Real Estate

Handle the day-to-day financial and general office duties of a Commercial Real Estate office located in Bowling Green, KY.Such duties would include recording financial transactions into Quickbooks, managing accounts payable and receivable; reconciling bank statements; updating the trial balance, profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet; managing commission checks; managing escrow account, paying quarterly federal and state tax deposits; and completing annual tax forms, such as 1099s.Such work to be focused upon real estate management, sales, leasing, rental and personal through multiple partnerships and entities.

Detailed Responsibilities-

Complete and submit required tax forms and prepare such reports required for taxes and other government documents.

Perform personal individual bookkeeping services as needed

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry and mathematical accuracy

Operate computers and specifically Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets software for posting and generating monthly reports.

Perform general office duties for Neal Turner Realty such as filing, answering telephones, scanning documents, handling routine correspondence and occasional required deliveries or pickups.

Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements as needed

Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.

Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.

Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.

Perform financial calculations such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.

Recording bank deposits by compiling data from verifying and balancing receipts, occasionally hand delivering cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks (most will be through online billpay, ACH deposit or mobile deposit by the individual responsible for the account

Receive, record, and bank deposits into Quickbooks

Recording of payments of utilities, taxes, and other payments into QuickBooks

Reconcile records of bank transactions.

Prepare trial balances of books.

Monitor status of loans and accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.

Transfer details from separate journals to general ledgers and/or data processing sheets.

Compile budget data and documents, based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets.

Additional Requirements-

Confidentiality Agreement to be executed upon acceptance of the job.

Independent Contractor role

Establish an acceptable schedule of approximately 15-20 hours a week.
