Summary
  • Performs installation, service, calibration, evaluation, documentation and preventive maintenance to general electronic, and low risk clinical electronic equipment including, but not limited to: diagnostic, therapeutic, and physiological monitoring equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. This position works under the supervision of the Director and is employed by Mosaic Health Systems.
Duties
  • Provides accurate documentation of all work performed through work orders and updating of history files.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable codes, policies, and regulations from governing organizations such as, JCAHO, NFPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Attends equipment service training classes as necessary.
  • Performs installation, service, calibration, evaluation, safety inspection, documentation and preventive maintenance to a variety of general electronic and low risk clinical equipment. This is accomplished through use of manufacturer's specifications and service information, and established industry and regulatory safety standards. This equipment includes, but is not limited to: diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring equipment.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity of specialized test equipment and procedures common to a Biomedical department and previous experience in medical electronics preferred.
  • Current valid and instate Driver's License required.
  • All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. Associate's degree in electronics or BioMedical Engineering; applicable military training; or equivalent work experience required. Training in medical electronics, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology preferred.
