The role you’ll contribute:
The Biomed Engineer Technician I performs duties assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with current policies and procedures. These duties include performing preventive maintenance, safety test, incoming inspection, installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and documentation to assigned patient care equipment. Performs assigned duties with close supervision and according to manufacturer’s recommendations.

- Demonstrates a cooperative attitude. Displays a willingness to accept new tasks. Requires no supervision and is a self-starter performing routine tasks without being directed to do so.
- Maintains a good relationship with co-workers in Plant services and Biomed. Displays willingness to assist co-workers with assigned tasks
- Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair medical and non-medical equipment using test equipment.
- Understands the importance of documenting the maintenance history of medical equipment. Completes documentation for schedules and unscheduled work performed.
- Understands the concept of Preventive Maintenance.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of industry experience, or military setting with electronics background.
- Field service maintenance with a medical equipment maintenance vendor is also acceptable.
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military medical repair specialist school, or equivalent electronic training and experience.
