Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking to hire a BGS-C Component Repairs Manager (Level K) to join our team in Dallas, TX.


This is an exciting opportunity to become a first line leader of a Supplier Management Team located in Dallas Texas responsible for leading 787 Component Services Program (CSP).


This team supports the Boeing Global Services - Commercial (BGS-C) business units in Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhauls in a fast-paced global environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of our Supply Chain, including policies and procedures as well as the systems and tools which we utilize to execute procurements and repairs on behalf of our customers.


Position Responsibilities


Duties will include (but are not limited to):


  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.
  • Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customer’s requirements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Manages Procurement Agent and Repair Management employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts.
  • Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
  • The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem solving skills.


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and/or customers.
  • Able to travel 10% of the time.
  • 5 years of experience with Supply Base, Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes.
  • Experience in a self-directed role.
  • 5 + years of experience do you have in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance?
  • 5 years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives.
  • Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):


  • Experience working with multiple team functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience with Supply Chain Value Stream
  • Experience working with suppliers and managing a supply base in a dynamic environment with frequent expedited procurement demands and managing supplier recovery plans


Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
