Job Description

Provides beverage and snack service to guests by performing the following duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Job Functions:

  • Must speak English, bilingual Spanish desirable.
  • Verify accuracy of prices, tips and/or other charges on all tickets.
  • Comply with all state, local and club laws and policies relating to the service of alcohol, including identification and reporting of guests consuming alcohol not purchased on-premise. Sales of alcoholic beverages only within defined areas of golf courses.
  • Advise management of any complaints as they occur.
  • Provide attention to all guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Present bills to guests; handle all charges as prescribed by standard operating procedure.
  • Must be of legal age to dispense/serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain beverage cart in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Must possess strong communications skills.
  • Ensure that alcoholic beverages remain in locked containers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to the Essential Job Functions listed above:

  • Other duties as assigned in F&B Operations Manual.
  • Ensure supplies are adequately stocked on the beverage cart at all times.
  • Maintain clean and appropriate uniform/attire at all times.
  • Perform pre-and post-shift duties, including taking inventory.

Education/Experience:

Minimum high school completion. Prior beverage cart experience desirable.

Must have valid “Liquor Training” course completed, or complete within 30 days of hire.


Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Math Ability:

Ability to perform basic math equations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of various Point of Sale software applications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and fumes or airborne particles.
