About the Job:

The Software Quality Engineer is a results-driven, team-oriented, self-motivated software quality professional who combines solid software testing credentials with emerging automation testing trends in the industry. This role will have the opportunity to bring innovations in software automation testing for delivering world-class cutting-edge products to the 7000+ Taco Bell restaurants. The Software QA Engineer will report to the QA Manager.

The Day-to-Day:

• Collaborate with the development team to understand the software and infrastructure design, and discuss verification protocol
• Prepare appropriate test environments and labs
• Perform backend validation (API, DB, verify logs), review software bug reports, and analyze test results.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts. Monitor and troubleshoot failures in automation scripts
• Coordinate with the development team to resolve issues and product owners to ensure correct functionality has been developed
• Review requirements and technical design documents; create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases

Is This You?

• At least 3 years of hands-on manual testing experience with docker containers, AWS, API, microservices, Mongo DB, Dynamo DB, Datadog
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing automation scripts with Rest Assured, Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Apium, Jenkins, or GitLab
• At least 4 years of experience working in an agile environment, as part of a Quality Engineering Team
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Postman, JIRA, QMetry, and Datadog
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; or equivalent years of experience
