Responsibilities

• Enforce security and data protection needs
• Work with other developers and the product manager to ideate software solutions
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Write reusable code and libraries
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into actual code
• Help build out both the client-side and server-side architecture
• Write clean and easy-to-use APIs
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Build and manage efficient databases along with other storage solutions
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

Qualifications

• Desire and motivation to learn
• Proficiency with web frameworks such as Node.js or Vue.js
• Great attention to detail and an analytical mind
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Very organized & process oriented
• Knowledge of how to architect a codebase for maximum speed and scalability
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Experience writing unit tests, UI tests, and/or integration tests
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving benchmarks
• Comfort with code repositories such as Git as well as CI/CD services such as CircleCI
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, and their use on Amazon RDS and Heroku

Nice To Have

• Experience with leveraging GraphQL for APIs
• Good understanding of SEO principles and how to adhere to them
• Familiarity with agile methodologies
