Primary Purpose of Position:
Partners Health Management is an innovative Managed Care company leading the industry in Human Services. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer to join our growing team.


Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing modern data platform solutions leveraging Azure-based technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database. Works closely with SQL developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the most effective data solutions are provided to support the business’s goals and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage data pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and ensure data privacy and security.
  • Continuously monitor, refine, and report on the performance of data management systems.
  • Stay current with new technologies and techniques in the cloud-based data architecture landscape.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define and understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Implement measures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Leverage Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and other Azure-based data services to deliver insightful analytics and data solutions.
  • Optimize and manage data models, create ETLs to take data from various operational systems and create a unified dimensional or star schema data model for analytics and reporting.

Performs other job-related tasks as required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into understandable business insights.


Education and Experience Required:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience with Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Databricks.
  • Strong experience in SQL, Python, and/or other data processing languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate).
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and AI technologies.
