Job Description
We are seeking an Automation Technician II to support a mining and metal company in Kingman, AZ.


This is an onsite position and relocation assistance is available.


Job Summary:


This role will support the team by safely providing solutions to ongoing automation issues, developing code for new systems, training the site electrical team to be proficient with automation systems, and working with IT to ensure the security of our systems.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Operations, Maintenance, and Finance teams to propose and implement solutions to challenges in the steel making process and business
  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.


Requirements


Education:


  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; equivalent experience in-lieu of degree (2-4 years in Electrical Engineering)


Required:


  • PLC communication protocols: Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc. experience.
  • PLC ladder and block programming & troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with PLC, DCS, & SCADA process control systems (Hardware & Software)
  • Experience in database programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience with industrial process control systems including DCS, PLC and SCADA based systems.
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) such as WonderWare or WinCC experience.


Preferred:


  • Prior experience with Allen-Bradley PLC
