The A.C. Coy Company is currently hiring for a Automation Service Technician role. This individual will will play a critical role in providing technical support, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial robots and automation systems. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the field of industrial automation, robotics, or a related industry.

  • Provide on-site technical support for customers, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial robots and automation systems
  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and other internal stakeholders to identify and resolve technical problems, provide technical expertise, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner, utilizing technical knowledge, diagnostic tools, and manuals
  • Provide telephone assistance, when needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service activities, including service reports, documentation, and inventory management
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Train customers and other service team members on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of company products

High school diploma or equivalent


70-80% of travel required


Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites and work in various industrial environments.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering preferred.


Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the field of industrial automation, robotics, or related industry.


Strong technical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and manuals.


Experience with PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and robotic programming is a plus.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally, and flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. (70-80%)
