Position Overview:

Responsible for assessing and treating patients with hearing, balance, and related disorders. May also be responsible for procedures related to hearing aide dispensing and providing services to specific assigned scope of patients. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to provide input and implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

EDUCATIONGraduate of an accredited audiology program Master's or Doctorate: REQUIREDCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE AUDIO-Licensed AudiologistBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare ProviderPERFERRED EXPERIENCE TYPICALLY REQUIRED2 years experience of clinical diagnostics and aural rehabilitation of hearing loss with children and adults.2 years experience with 2-channel audiometer, immittance audiometer, probe microphone, and evoked potential unit.2 years experience with Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing and tympanometry.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGECritical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines.Computer and required technology proficiency/ competencies.Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement. Pay Range: 56.65-70.8

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
