The Associate Attorney is responsible for assisting in legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing for trials, and providing general legal support to our clients and the company. The Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to work closely with company staff and gain practical experience in a fast-paced environment. We would provide training.
Responsibilities:
- Follow up on emails.
- Trials visit ready, including organizing case files, researching relevant case precedents, and drafting trial-related documents.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to brainstorm strategies, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to assigned practice areas.
- Assist the company in managing caseloads, including organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and managing document databases.
- Must have an activeCM/ECFaccount, or be willing to open one to be shared with the company for filling assistance.
- Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and depositions. Take notes, research relevant legal arguments, and assist with courtroom presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; Juris Doctorate and successful completion of the Bar exam is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related mail operation services or CRM software applications.
- Must be Barred in NY.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend complex legal concepts and convey them clearly to clients.
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong understanding of legal concepts, procedures, and terminology. Familiarity with legal research methods and resources.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high productivity.
Compensation: Salary range of $90,000 – $120,000 starting salary with performance-based incentives.
