Job Description
Responsible for operating athletic training and rehabilitation facilities, supervising training of student athletes, and coordinating prevention/treatment of athletic related injuries to student athletes.


  • Develops and maintains training and treatment records.
  • Travels with athletic teams to provide training services at away games.
  • Supervises student workers assigned to the athletic training area.
  • Coordinates training programs for student athletes.
  • Maintains National Athletic Trainers Association Certification and Florida Department of Health Licensure for Trainers.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
  • Teaches a minimum of one three credit hour course, (45 instructional hours), per year, assuming the responsibilities listed under “Instructor”.
  • Assists with developing and implementing appropriate goals and objectives in the College's Long-Range Plan.
  • Works closely with team physicians in providing treatment of PHSC intercollegiate athletes.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and Florida Department of Health.
  • Master’s degree required from regionally accredited institution.
  • Works with the appropriate staff to handle athletic insurance claims. Corresponds with physicians and other medical personnel.
  • Assists in the planning and coordinating of fitness activities for students and staff.
  • Operates campus athletic training and rehabilitation facilities.


Degree in physical education/health related field.
