Athletic Trainer Jobs

Job Summary

The Athletic Trainer will be a member of the Purdue Sports Medicine Department working under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Sports Medicine- Head Football Athletic Trainer and team physicians to deliver athletic health care for ‎intercollegiate athletes and athletic teams. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:

• Provide appropriate documentation of care
• Provide service care given of emergency needs of student-athletes
• Address other related health care problems as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Performance and Sports Medicine and/or supervising team physician
• Execute administrative duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Sports Medicine- Head Football Athletic Trainer
• Provide immediate Rx rehabilitation for patients
• Maintain appropriate medical records for student-athletes health care
• Supervise athletic training curriculum students as assigned
• Provide supervision of returning student-athlete to athletic activity

Required:

• 2 years’ experience in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and/or Athletic Training
• NATA-BOC certification and ability to obtain Indiana Athletic Training License, Indiana Physical Therapy License if employee has Physical Therapy Degree
• Must adhere to and comply with Purdue University, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA applicable rules policies, procedures, rules and regulations‎
• Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree from CAAHEP accredited athletic training education program
• Travel
• Master's degree
