Boeing Specialized US Infrastructure Organization is currently seeking an Associate Systems Administrator - Linux and Windows to join their team in Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) business organization.

A successful candidate will be able to install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. You will assist in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. You will provide support for the design, validation and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems. Perform system monitoring, backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability. Administers user’s system access to meet security requirements. Performs problem resolution as appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and provide maintenance of systems hardware, software and components
  • Assist in Information Technology projects providing dedicated program infrastructure
  • Receive general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
  • Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers
  • Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
  • Work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules
  • Ensure Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives
  • Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issue
  • Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph post start
  • 1+ years of experience working with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
  • 1+ years of experience in integrating hardware and software components into a functional system
  • 1+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • 1+ years of experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support
  • 1+ years of experience working with Virtual Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation
  • 1+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)


Typical Education/Experience:

Typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
