The Associate Project Manager is an entry level position and is responsible for supporting project management initiatives that enable cross-functional teams to continuously deliver features, enhancements, and updates to Edmentum's Course and Assessment product portfolios. Associate Project Managers are servant leaders responsible for assigned projects and other assignments that support the Program Management Office.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments as needed
  • Independently manage lower level complexity projects
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Support the Program Management Organization with the continuous improvement of PMO 4 P's (Project Management, Portfolio Management, Process Management, and People-Centered Best Practices).
  • Support in leading teams to ensure all products and projects deliver on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Monitor, report, and escalate risks to management as needed
  • Negotiate resource availability and allocation
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure efficient and consistent communication
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Support in the management of more complex projects
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
  • Conduct project retrospectives and use information to continually improve processes


EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE


  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four year college or university or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with core Microsoft apps (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word)
  • Beginner to intermediate level proficiency with process mapping tools (Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, etc)
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing, and ambiguous environment
  • CAPM or Google project management certificate a plus
  • Experience as a project coordinator or manager preferred
  • Experience in Education or Education Technology a plus
  • Confidence with new technologies, hardware, and software
