Your team

BlackRock Platform Innovation (BPI) is a global group of approximately change professionals responsible for driving strategic transformation for BlackRock. We partner with business leaders to understand their commercial objectives, develop a scalable operating and platform strategy and lead end-to-end delivery. We are a versatile team made up of individuals with varied experiences and backgrounds motivated by the challenge of finding solutions which will benefit the firm’s clients.

Your role and impact

We will teach you how the firm works, and you will apply that knowledge to some of the firm’s most strategic, complex, and high-valued projects. This is not your traditional project management role; we are looking for world-class problem solvers who want to learn the details and be heavily involved in designing and implementing scalable solutions. Our team is small, and you will have the opportunity to make a big impact!

Your Responsibilities

• Stay current on global finance and technology trends impacting BlackRock
• Partner closely with engineers on prioritization and day-to-day execution
• Engage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the firm to effectively navigate global organization
• Develop project objectives with measurable goals, drive consensus, and communicate plans and results to stakeholders
• Partner with business leads to drive strategic projects, including complex client and technology mandates and commercial opportunities, to completion
• Advise business partners on workflow improvements to get the most out of our technology
• Develop content knowledge and dive deep into any topic that comes our way
• Define simple feature requirements
• Simplify complex topics and create innovative solutions for issues

Your Experience

• Experience with AI (artificial intelligence) /ML (machine learning), including large language models, OpenAI and Azure AI solutions a plus
• Technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context
• Experience working with global, distributed teams across multiple cultures and time zones
• 3-5 years of work experience
• Experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation
• Sense of curiosity and the courage to ask tough questions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strongly believes in BlackRock’s purpose
• Ambitious and proactive: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting
• Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
