Boeing's Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Development Supply Chain Contracting (SCc) team in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an Associate Procurement Agent to act as an authorized agent of the company with the responsibility to commit company resources through contracts and agreements for the procurement of goods and services


As an Associate Procurement Agent, you will create and manage major supplier purchase contracts in support of the BDS Development Programs. Candidates should have experience with the entire procurement life cycle to include developing Supplier Buy to Packages, Requests for Proposal, evaluating bids, creating and issuance of Purchase Contracts, and pre/post award contract administration through closeout.


Purchase Contracts can range from high to low dollar value for all types of commodities and services. Purchase contract price types will also vary, including Cost Reimbursable Incentive Fee/Award Fee, Firm-Fixed Price, and Time & Material.


Overall this position requires an individual who can manage multiple subcontracts expeditiously, while ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Additional responsibilities could include issuance and administration of Teaming Agreements, Proprietary Information Agreements, New Business and Proposal Support.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.


This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.


This position is for 1st shift.


This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
  • 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts.
  • Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • Experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
  • Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: $60,350 - $74,550
