Job Description

Associate Policy Administration Rep

Symetra’s Group Benefits team is seeking temporary support during the busiest time of the year. In this role, you will assist the Stop Loss team in creating contracts, certificates, and other contractual documents. Additionally, you will ensure that contracts and documentation is complete in a timely fashion!


Pay Rate: $18-20/hr

Length: 5 month contract

Associate Vendors: We are accepting applications from candidates who are currently authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily management of work assignments insuring appropriate communications, and that deadlines and Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Responsible for systems set up for Stop Loss. Creation of contract/certificates/administration agreements, and any other contract documents needed for Medical Stop Loss Products. Analyze documents submitted and policy admin system, determine if additional information is needed.
  • Indexing of incoming faxes/emails/scanned work for all of benefits operations.


Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Word)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams and with internal/external stakeholders
  • 1 year of professional experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat


Desired Qualifications

  • A background in Insurance is nice-to-have.
