Associate in Research will be responsible for processing earth observation data to produce land use and land cover classifications as part of our ongoing malaria research program in MesoAmerica (currently focusing on Panama and Honduras). Candidates will have expertise in GIS and remote sensing, particularly image processing. Example s of activities include: image processing, providing land classification metrics in buffers surrounding vector and human malaria cases (with GPS coordinates), and assisting with visualizations for communicating environmental risks to stakeholders. Additional experience in disease ecology is a plus.
