Job Summary


Associate Graphics Designer is responsible for creating creative graphics, logos, mood boards and color schemes utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite software. The designer is responsible for interpreting sketches/renderings into printable files for full scale mock-ups. Additionally, this person will support model matrices for product segments and other internal documents. The designer will engage with other designers in critiques and will be asked to rework ideas for production feasibility, along with meeting cost targets. This person must be adaptable to change, a multi-tasker, fast learner and have a positive attitude. An Associate Graphics Designer will also be called upon to pull material, paint, plastic, ink, vinyl, and other samples from the library to aid in mock-ups/presentations. This person is also expected to


research current and future benchmarks/trends.


Responsibilities


  • Create industry leading CMFG design utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator,


Photoshop and InDesign. A working knowledge of Substance or 3D software is a bonus.


  • Support other designers in tasks, such as template set-up, image updates and material
  • Take a sketch from paper to full-size 3D using our in-house vinyl printer/plotter.

  • Strong understanding of our product portfolio and markets.
  • Interface with CAID & Industrial Design teams occasionally to achieve objectives.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
  • Communication with graphics leads and suppliers in US, Canada, etc.


Skills, Knowledge & Education


  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator and Photoshop a must
  • Retouch and manipulate images for various uses internally in Polaris
  • Powersports experience a plus
  • Convey a feeling or idea via color scheme or artistic sketch style
  • BS/BA in Graphic Design, Design Arts, Graphic Arts or Industrial Design preferred
  • Works well with a team
  • Ensure projects are complete with high quality on schedule
  • Exposure to decal printer/plotter machines
  • 0-3 Years’ experience
  • Ability to translate sketches into real like mockups on vehicle
  • Flexibility with a changing environment
  • Excellent eye for detail
