Stockbridge is an established real estate investment firm with over $33 billion in AUM across a wide range of investment strategies and asset types across the U.S with offices in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Chicago.
This role is part of the Core and Value-Add (“CVA”) platform, which includes both funds and separate accounts with asset strategies ranging from core to value-add to ground-up development. This role will work on a collaborative team directly supporting Vice President(s) on target markets and will work closely with the Asset and Portfolio Management Teams and occasionally with the Acquisition Team. There is a lot of room for growth and development for the right candidate! This is both a qualitative and quantitative position, strong math and written skills are necessary. Office, industrial and retail property types will be analyzed and monitored.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial models for internal property valuations, dispositions, recapitalizations, lease analyses and waterfalls for joint-venture investments. Assist in preparation, review and execution of annual property budgets and business plans
- Accompany Asset Managers on property visits and market tours
- Prepare presentation materials for Investment Committee including disposition and capital approval memos
- Provide oversight and develop strong relationships with third-party property managers, leasing brokers and joint-venture partners
- Work alongside owner’s construction representatives in the oversight of ground-up construction and redevelopment opportunities
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong writing skills as well as verbal interpersonal/communication skills
- All candidates must have a BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics or related area. Must have strong academic credentials
- Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- 3-5 years of real estate/finance experience, preferably including one or more of the following: portfolio analysis, commercial real estate valuation, cash flow forecasting, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, debt
- Skillset and ability to run an assignment with little supervision
- Ability to mentor Analysts
- Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
- Strong understanding of discounted cash flow analysis in Argus Enterprise and/or Excel required
Travel:
- Travel as needed with Asset Managers on property visits and market tours
