The Opportunity

The Associate Analyst is responsible for supporting our insurance pricing and/or reserving processes at Ally Insurance.The Associate Analyst will work as part of a broader team to provide accurate and timely information for Actuarial Management via analysis, advanced analytics, and robust reporting processes. The Associate Analyst will be responsible for communicating and working collaboratively across multiple departments throughout the organization.

The Work Itself

• Develop in an actuarial and business capacity and according to Ally vision and mission statement
• This is a hybrid role. You will be required to be onsite 2-3 days a week.
• Foster innovation within the team and across the broader organization
• Support a robust pricing and/or reserving review process for insurance business, including both standard actuarial techniques and advanced modeling
• Work collaboratively as a part of the broader Pricing and/or Reserving process
• Develop indications and communicate them to Actuarial Management
• Support, enhance, and communicate business analytics to Senior Leadership

The Skills You Bring

• Programming skills in SQL/SAS/R/Python a plus
• High level of problem solving and critical thinking capabilities
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field
• Passed 1 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exam(s) and dedication to attaining actuarial credentials
• Strong written and oral communication and relationship building skills
• Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft product suite
• Strong work ethic
