Assistant Vice President Of Branch Operations

Vaco has partnered with a Memphis client to hire an Assistant Vice President of Branch Operations to direct the operations of a medium sized Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct, develop, motivate, and discipline branch personnel; administer performance evaluations and recommend appropriate personnel actions
• Monitor branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Prepare and submit standard reports; attend scheduled management meetings
• Originate consumer loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy; review loans subordinate personnel when necessary
• Represent the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups
• Interact with Centralized Lending Dept per credit union policy/procedure
• Maintain communication with main office and administrative staff
• Monitor all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures
• Assist members with accounts, products, services and identify cross-sell opportunities

Qualifications:

• Organized, detailed, flexible, ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to use PC spreadsheet software
• Three years to five years of similar or related experience
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication
• College degree or completion of a specialized certification or licensing or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in person and on the phone
• Recognize and close on sales opportunities
• Strong math skills
