The Assistant to the Head of Senior School will perform a range of administrative duties and activities that are integral to the daily operations of the school. This role is a full-time, ten-month, non-exempt position reporting to the Head of Senior School. Responsibilities: Performs administrative duties, tasks, and activities that are part of the daily operations of the school including answering calls, managing calendar, taking messages, managing correspondence, and keeping the shared school areas organized and functional. Greet students and guests, acting as a primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters related to the Senior School's main office. Draft, proofread, and format documents and correspondence for the Head of Senior School. Manage classroom coverage issues including tracking time off requests and absences, and maintaining substitute logs. Partner with Security to ensure the implementation of all safety protocols in the Senior School. Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. 5 years of administrative experience in an office or educational setting. Excellent organizational, time-management, and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to be flexible to manage multiple priorities. Adeptness in writing and editing documents. Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and maintain confidentiality. Work collaboratively, build relationships and make connections with students, families, and colleagues.
